Nadine Bernice Thompson was born on June 26, 1942 to Paul and Margarite Durrett in Kansas. She was the second of 6 children and was proceeded in death by her older brother Bob, younger brother Paul, and her two sons Donald and David Byrden. Nadine is survived by her husband Herbert and sisters Laura Durrett, Helen Adams, Shonna Lewis, step daughter Stacy (Tim) Harness, two granddaughters Ashley and Jessica and many relatives on both sides of her family. Nadine was a homemaker and spent much of her time on the family's Shadow D Ranch in Creston, Ca. While at home on the ranch she canned hundreds of jars of fruit and vegetables which Herbert grew on the ranch. When not tending to the house her 2nd job on the ranch was to keep Herbert out of trouble. In her youth she was quite an athlete enjoying softball and league bowling with an impressive 180 average. In her later years at the ranch she enjoyed crocheting many beautiful afghans for her family and friends. Nadine's kindness and quick witted humor will be missed by all who knew her.
