Rita Rae Alexander, 76, passed away Thursday October 27, 2022 at her home in Paso Robles. Rita moved to Paso Robles in 1965 and began raising her family. She was her children’s biggest fan and worked hard to provide everything she could for them. Family meant the world to her. She had a love for cooking and loved nothing more than having family and friends over and making a delicious meal for all. Beginning in the 90s you could find her serving up her famous BBQ tri tip sandwiches, chicken and beans. Everybody loved “Rita’s BBQ” soon after that her business exploded and she began catering weddings and other events. She continued to share her BBQ in our community for over two decades. She worked hard but she enjoyed every minute of it. When she wasn’t hard at work, she enjoyed watching her Dodgers and Nascar. Rita had a heart of gold and never met a stranger. She is survived by her Son Tony Alexander, her Daughter Anita McPhetridge, her Son in law Craig McPhetridge, her two Grand Daughters Raelyn McPhetridge and Karlee McPhetridge and several loving nieces and nephews. Rita was preceded in death by her beloved fiancé, Alex Reasner.
