Annie Marie Pettus

Mrs. Pettus passed away on Monday, May 14, 2012 at Athens Rehab and Senior Care.

Visitation will be Tuesday May 15, 2012 from 6-8 P.M. at McConnell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Pettus was born February 20, 1922 to George Wheeler and Nora Curtis Wheeler in Cross County, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and mother of 4, spent her days and nights caring for her family. She did farm work herself, she was the farmers oldest daughter.

Mrs. Pettus was preceded in death by her parents; husband Hollis O. Pettus; Daughter Denise C. Pettus Adams, Grandson Matthew J. Bondurant, Son Jerry W. Moody, Sr., Grandson Jim Ed Moody, one Sister Janie Mae Fleming.

Mrs. Pettus is survived by her two Daughters Matricia Ann Fleming and husband John of Athens, AL; Valerie Pettus of Athens, AL; one Brother George C. Wheeler, eight grandchildren Mark Edward Holman II, Sidney Leigh Miller, Nathan Pettus, Emily Marie Pettus, Hannah Pettus, Jerry Wayne Moody, Jonathan Bondurant, Lydia Ergle, one great grandchild Harley Bishof.

Pallbearers will be Elijah Miller, Logan Miller, Nathan Pettus, Edward Holman, Jonathan Bondurant, and Sharon Pettus.
