Deborah Bumpus

Visitation will be Saturday, May 30, 2015 from 1-2 P.M. at McConnell Funeral Home.

Ms. Bumpus passed away Wednesday May 27, 2015 at Athens Limestone Hospital.

She was born March 21, 1955 in Pontiac, Michigan to Lowell Ray Williams, and Cassie Serhan Williams, She lived in Pontiac until 1960, then moved to Hamilton, Alabama. In 1968 she moved to Athens, AL. She went to school at Piney Chapel and Athens High, and graduated in 1973. She worked for TVA in security and at Athens Limestone Hospital in housekeeping and supplies, and prior to working at the hospital she worked at B & S grocery as a cashier. She was a loving mother who will be missed dearly, but will never be forgotten.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her two daughters Terri Schrimsher and husband Matthew, and Tiffany Bumpus, one sister, Alexandra Barnett and husband Carl, one brother, Brion Williams and Wife Sandra, one grandchild, William Chandler Johnson, two nephews, Benjamin Barnett and wife Shannon, Jeremy Williams and wife Stephanie, two great nieces, Avery and Grayson Barnett, and one great nephew, Sonny Williams.
