Dimple Virginia Posey

Visitation is from 6-9 tonight at the funeral home.

She died Friday, March 11, 2011, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.

Mrs. Posey was born Aug. 24, 1921, in Jackson County to Ed and Mary Ethel Durham.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Aque Posey; brother, Bill Durham; and sister, Bea Clem.

Survivors include three sons, Grady Posey and wife Linda of Athens, David Posey of Elkmont, Kenneth Posey and wife Carolyn of Athens; five daughters, Shirley Jones of Huntsville, Virginia Sandrock of Athens, Margaret Faulkner and husband Charles of Athens, Margie Sherrill and husband Ralph of Athens, and Rita Faye Posey of Elkmont; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ruby Pruitt of Springfield, N.Y., Dorthy Klenczar of Decatur, Opal Ayers of Athens, Edna Haney of Ardmore; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Roy Posey, Brandon Posey, Michael Lovell, Jeremy Williamson, Daniel Rhodes, Patrick Sandrock and Brett Mitchell.
