Kay Wren James

Visitation will be Monday, June 20, 2016 from 6-8 p.m., and Tuesday June 21, 2016 from 11-11:45 a.m. at McConnell Funeral Home.

Mrs. James passed away Friday June 17, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital.

She was born January 1, 1948, in Russellville, AL to Frank Milton Boswell and Lurlie Lee Wren Boswell. She worked as office manager for over 40 years at Athens Rehab and Senior Care. She was a member of Lindsey Lane Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and first husband Douglas Russell, and one brother Frank Milton Boswell, Jr.

She is survived by her husband Jesse P. James, three daughters Lanita Kay Russell of Birmingham, AL; Alice Flournoy and husband Stephen of Tuscaloosa, AL; Amy Vinson and husband Taylor of Athens, AL; one stepdaughter Melanie James DuBose and husband Mark of Monetta, SC; one stepson Scott James of Gregory, MI; 10 grandchildren Caroline DuBose, Laci DuBose, Jordan James, Kennedi James, Paige James, Rowe Vinson, Anna Wren Vinson, Abby Vinson, Lauren Flournoy, and Jenna Flournoy, one aunt, Wanetta Boersema of Texas.

Pallbearers will be Nick Alexander, Benjamin Russell, Mike James, Randy Russell, Eddie Wren, Hayden James, Henry Miller, and Jim Boersema.
