Lorene Valentine Hill

Mrs. Lorene V. Hill passed on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at her residence. Burial will be in Legg Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday January 21, 2012 from 6-9 P.M. at McConnell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hill was born April 19, 1920 to Earnest Everett Lawrence and Lillie Mae Lawrence. She was a member of Leggtown Church of Christ. She was a homemaker, her hobby was quilting.

Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her parents; husband Elmer (Coot) Hill, one son John David Hill, granddaughter Sunshine Hill, and great grandson Chad Dean.

Mrs. Hill is survived by three sons James E.”Bud” Hill and wife Linda of Athens, AL; Bennie Hill of Lester, AL; George Hill of Athens, AL; five daughters Mildred Thompson; Marilyn Wooldridge and husband Milton of Athens, AL; Ann Harvey of Elkmont, AL; Sandra Fleming and husband Phillip of Lester, AL; Myra Ridgeway of Athens, AL; two brothers Ozro Lawrence; JT Lawrence; two sisters O.C. Guess; Beatrice Shedd; 19 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 10 great great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Billy Hill, Brandon Turner, Justin Ridgeway, Derrick Hill, Jeremy Fleming, and Adam Hill.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dustin Hill, David Hill, Allen Hill, Clint Harvey, Jeff Hill, Jared Fleming, Jonathan Fleming, Tommy Long.
