Melony was born on June 22, 1968, to Charles Benton Hardy and Sabra Jo Whitworth.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one son Jonathan Cook.
Survivors include her daughter Mindy Haynes (Mike), four brothers Charles Hardy Jr., Cory Hardy (Kim), Marcus Hardy (Sheri) and Tim Hardy; one sister Linda Jacobs (David); four grandchildren Hailey Hill, India Cook, Lexus Stewart (Isaiah) and Sidney McKinney.
Visitation will be held at McConnell Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 3-5 PM. A service in her honor will follow at 5 PM, officiated by Kasey Harbin. The family will hold a private burial at Gatlin Cemetery at a later date.
