

Mr. Richardson was born December 20, 1927 in Lawrence County, TN to Emmett Bethel Richardson and Docia Spann Richardson. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother E.W. “Dub” Richardson, and his first wife, Ellen Taylor.
He was a member of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Athens. He was retired from NASA, he was known in this area for his blacksmithing, and he was a member of Alabama Forge Council.
Survivors include: his wife, Glenda Perry Richardson, one daughter, Susan Richardson Gulyas and husband Richard of Sugar Land, TX; two sons, Thomas Franklin Richardson and wife Carol of Huntsville, AL; Jeffry Julian Richardson and wife Vickie of Huntsville, AL; two sisters, Helyn Conway of Moody, AL; Jeanette Held of Albuquerque, NM; six grandchildren, Ellen Evangeline Richardson, Rachel Stephanie Gulyas, Leah Theresa Gulyas, Lauren Abigail Richardson, John Franklin Richardson, and Aisha Simone Richardson.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Athens.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County or St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church.
