Bobby Bell

A native of Oconee County, Mr. Bell was the son of the late Calvin O Bell and Lizzie Mae Hardigree Bell and was preceded in death by a son, Robert Steven Bell; brother, Lamar Bell, and sister, Marie Cleveland. Mr. Bell served in the United States Army during World War II, retired from Southern Bell after 30 years of service and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, the American Legion Post 185, and Antioch Christian Church. Upon retirement, he enjoyed his farm, cows, gardening, and being proprietor of Bell’s Lake.

Survivors include his wife, Martha B Bell of Watkinsville; son, Jeffrey (Jeff) Bell and wife, Tonya of Watkinsville; daughter-in-law, Leesa Robison Bell of Bogart; sister, Betty Adams of Fayetteville, GA, and grandchildren, Brad Bell, Betsy Bell, Ashley Bell, and Matt Bell.

Funeral services will be held 11AM Thursday, November 18th in the chapel at Bernstein Funeral Home with Rev Jeff Wilkes officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9-11AM Thursday prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Bell, Jay Bell, Duwayne Wilkes, Bubber Wilkes, Joe Harrison, Vince Keane

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer Association- GA Chapter, 1925 Century Blvd, NE, Ste. 10, Atlanta, GA 30345.
