He was born in Athens, Georgia, the second son of Homer G. Hale, Jr. and Jewell Jordan Hale. He was a Navy Veteran who served in the Vietnam War on the aircraft carrier, USS America.
His brother, Richard D. Hale (Toni), sister, Jean Hale Ryan (Tom), daughter, Mary Jordan Criscuolo and her son, Jude, and three nieces, survive him.
A graveside service for family and close friends will be held on March 28, 2024 at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, Athens, GA.
