Candace was born in Gainesville, Ga. in 1954 to Joseph J. and Hilda Porterfield Mullis and was the youngest of three children. Her brother is Joseph J. Mullis Jr. of Cleveland, Ga. and her older sister was the late Pastor Brenda J. Mullis, formerly of Athens, Ga.
Candace is survived by her son, Mr. Forrest Wayne Duffy of Athens, Ga. and several nieces and nephews: Mrs. Kimberly (David) Dozier and family, Mr. Robert W. Welliver and family, Mr. Hans E. Welliver (Michelle) and family, Mrs. Jodi P. Braun (Patrick) and family, Mrs. Amber (Drew) Cantrell and family, and Miss Ashley Mullis.
A Memorial Service will be planned at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Bernstein Funeral Home of Athens.
