He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward J. and Dorothy A. Mrozowski and his brother, Stephen Mrozowski.
He is survived by the woman he cherished, his wife, Janet Lester Mrozowski; his children: Colby, Christopher and Eddie; his two step-children, Ricky and Chad; along with his sister, Jean Mrozowski Pittard (Steve); sister and brothers-in-law: Teresa Brewer (Keith), Garnett (Susan), Donnie and Heidi.
He went to Athens High School then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he received an honorable discharge. He managed B&J Package Store in Walnut Grove for 32 years before retiring in Winder, GA.
Known for his “happy go lucky” disposition, he never had a bad thing to say about anyone, even the ones who had done him wrong. He always had a smile on his face and would give his last dime to someone if he felt like they needed it. One of his best friends was his neighbor’s 10-year-old son, Porter. Porter would get home from school then go hang out with Carl on the front porch. They would talk about anything and everything!
Speaking as his sister, the one thing I will miss most is the many calls from him wanting to check on his baby sister, always ending every call with, “I love you, Sis! Tell Steve I love him, too!”
He had a heart of gold, which will be missed by many. But I know he is happy to be back home with the Lord and his Mom.
Until we are together again, we love you Carl.
