Born in Chamblee, GA on August 16, 1948, she is the daughter of the late Walter Craven and Irene Hill Craven of Lavonia, GA. Deborah grew up in Martinez, GA and graduated from Evans High School where she was voted the best dressed in her class. She began her career with the Internal Revenue Service in the 1970s, where she worked for over 20 years in administration.
After retiring she moved to Athens, Ga in the early 2000s, and she spent many years working in elder care. Deborah is remembered for her strong sense of family, her desire to help others, and for being an immaculate hostess.
She is survived by her son, Darren Musgrove of Plainfield, IN, his partner, Sheila Fites, beloved grandson, Ayden, brother, Stephen Craven of Athens, GA, nephew, Scott (Rachel) Craven of Athens, GA and great niece, Emmeline Craven and great nephew Elliot Craven, and many loving cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Milledge Avenue Baptist Church in Athens, GA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
