Earl was a true gentleman in the best sense of the word. For the past year, he and I met at Liz's bridge game for non-life masters and shuffled cards for the boards to be played every Monday. We exchanged stories about our lives and had many good laughs. When playing against him, if he bid 3 no trump, most of the time he was going to make it! He had one bridge rule that
he was adament about - second plays LOW!!!

Earl taught me to "always play my bad cards well." I will miss him.
