Fred Noesner

Fred Noesner passed away peacefully on October 6th, 2012, surrounded by his loved ones. He was a native of Romania born on March 7th, 1927 and emigrated to the USA in 1951. Fred died doing what he liked best enjoying time with one of his many best friends at a local restaurant.

Fred and his family moved to Athens in 1969 where he worked for Reliance Electric until his retirement in 1992. Fred is preceded in death by his first wife, Rosina with whom he shared a wonderful life of travel, friends and family. In 2000, he met Pat Paul and together they continued loving life, traveling and making countless numbers of friends.

Fred is survived by his wife Pat Paul, Athens; sons and spouses Werner and Pam Noesner, Cody, Wyo.; and Gerhard and Nancy Noesner, Columbia, SC; step daughter and son in law Brenda and JM Garrett, Statham, GA; brother Roland Noesner, Akron, Ohio; grandsons Dieter Noesner, Casper, Wyo.; and Christian Noesner, Columbia, SC.

Fred was a member of the Elks and Moose Lodges of Athens.

A celebration of Fred's life will be held at 2pm on Saturday October 13th, 2012 at Hilltop Restaurant.
