Glenn Barnie Davis, 76, of Simpsonville, SC, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Brenda Norton Davis and their two daughters, Stephanie Bruce (Will) and Amanda Jones (Matthew). Glenn was a proud grandfather to Savannah Davis, Ella Bruce, Whit Bruce, Ella Bruce and Greyson Jones. He is also survived by his dear siblings, Janice Joseph and Debbie Howell.
Raised in Valdosta, Georgia, Glenn was the son of the late Isham Barnie and Evelyn Dukes Davis. He played football at Valdosta High School and then later at the University of Georgia in the late 1960s, where he made many lasting memories and friendships.
Viewing will be Friday, July 25, at 3:00 p.m., at Bernstein Funeral Home in Athens. A gathering will be held Saturday, July 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., in the Sexton’s House at Oconee Hill Cemetery, immediately followed by a graveside service in the Bulldog Haven section of the cemetery.
