Grace W. Allen of Avery Place, Winterville, Georgia died December 25, 2014. Ms. Allen was born on December 7, 1924, in Athens. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Gertie Moore Allen; her sisters, Frances D. Young, Martha(Polly)Sorrow, and Lavania A. Daniel; her brothers, Ralph D. Allen and James Carl(J.C.) Allen. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Ms. Allen was retired from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. She was a member of the Christian Life Worship Center; a founding member of the Lady Dogs (basketball) Boosters Club; and, an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and the University of Georgia Bulldogs.
A memorial service will be 3PM Sunday at the Christian Life Worship Center with Rev. J. Brian Williams and Rev. Matthew Smith officiating. Visitation will began at 2:30 pm at the church.
The family request no flowers but memorials may be made to the Christian Life Worship Center, 125 Kathwood Dr, Athens, Georgia 30607.
