A native of Middleton, Ohio she was the daughter of the late James Farley Ward and Hazel Pearl Miller Ward. Mrs. Eldridge was preceded in death by a son Jack Eldridge and sisters Flora Alma Mae and Joanna Madden. She retired from St. Mary’s Hospital as a licensed practical nurse and was a member of the Green Acres Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter Kathy Hofele and husband Kevin; sons Bryan Eldridge and wife Leslie and James Eldridge all of Athens; grandchildren Jonathon Francis, Matthew Francis and Kristen Hofele.
Funeral services will be 2pm Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Bernstein beginning at 1PM on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Northeast Georgia Cancer Center, 3320 Old Jefferson Road, Athens, Georgia 30607.
Bernstein Funeral Home and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
