Born in Atlanta, Mr. Ramsey was a son of the late Roy Lee Ramsey and Virginia Bobo Ramsey. He retired as a sheet metal contractor with the R.F. Knox Company in Atlanta. He loved fishing and football.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Ramsey was preceded in death by his wife, Cecilia Phillips Ramsey and son, James Christopher Ramsey.
Survivors include daughter, Annette Byrd (Robert Johnston); grandchildren, Jessie Byrd (Ashton Fowler), Candace Ramsey Mendoza (Jose), Shyanne Hatchel (Ben) and Justin Ramsey; great-grandchildren, Dillon Brown, Sophia Byrd, Sirena Mendoza, Chris Mendoza, Maverick Hatchel and Nash Hatchel.
A graveside service will be held Monday, August 23, at 9:00 a.m., at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.
