
Mrs. Davenport was born on December 2, 1936 in Screven County, Ga., to Frank B. and Lillian Chance Saxon. She attended Dry Branch Baptist Church in Perkins, Ga. She enjoyed visiting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as traveling, and crocheting.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lanier L. Davenport and her siblings: Mintoria (Sister) McBride, Cecil Saxon, Gladys Hill Pate, James Saxon, Alex Saxon, Sr., Neda Williams Looper, Frankie Woods Adams, Myra Herrington, and Carroll Saxon, Sr.
She is survived by her children: Sharon (Brian) Edenfield of Athens, Ga., Eric (Rebecca) Davenport of Columbus, Ga., Hope (Ralph) Reynolds of Blairsville, Ga.; grandchildren: Jason (Michele) Edenfield of Lilburn, Ga., Lauren (Ryan) Fisher of Watkinsville, Ga., Lydia (John) Velando of Tampa, Fla., Anna (Steve) Alonso of Chicago, Ill., Wesley Davenport (Nicolette Wendell) of Sandy Springs, Ga., Sarah Reynolds, of Blairsville, Ga., Noel Reynolds, of Blairsville, Ga., Trenton Reynolds of Blairsville, Ga., Joseph Reynolds of Blairsville, Ga.; great-grandchildren: Cooper and Colbie Edenfield of Lilburn, Ga. Oakley Fisher of Watkinsville, Ga, Daniel Velando of Tampa, Fla, Arthur Alonso of Chicago, Ill., Grayson Reynolds of Blairsville, Ga.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her memorial service will be officiated by Tim Fields and held at Dry Branch Baptist Church, Perkins, Ga., on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 1:30 p.m.
