

A native of Athens, Mr. Culp was a son of the late Paul and Dorothy Dixon Culp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Peter Harold Culp and Tim Culp.
Mr. Culp was a retired machine operator for Southwire and a member of Watkinsville First Christian Church. He enjoyed being outdoors as he worked with his horses, cows, donkey, chickens and with his dog. Mr. Culp appreciated the times he and his family went to the beaches of Florida on vacations or participated in “wagon train” trips with family and friends. He taught his boys to hunt deer and the value of hard work. Mr. Culp shared his quick sense of humor and his love of Gospel music with his family and friends.
Survivors include wife, Linda Hansford Culp; sons, Ken (April) Culp of Statham and Kade Culp of Watkinsville; brother, Ronnie (Pat) Culp; sisters, Paula Colville and Delores (Buddy) Griffeth; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Paula Hansford; three grandchildren, Macy, Abi and Anna Kate; special cousins, Rhee Brown, Roz Morris and Ricky Collins; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 22 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home with Rev. Sheila Hunter officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:30-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
