Martha Brown Bell

Martha was born in Colbert to the late Henry Jackson and Nettie McCarty Brown and graduated from Colbert High School. She was a long-time resident of Watkinsville and a member of Antioch Christian Church. She retired from C&S Bank, after 32 years of service where she worked in the Trust Department and was a member of the Oconee County Garden Club and the Senior Center. Martha was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Bell; son, Robert Steven Bell; sister, Linda Moore; and brothers, Jack Brown and Richard Brown.

Martha is survived by her son, Jeff Bell and his wife, Tonya; daughter-in-law, Leesa Bell all of Watkinsville; sisters, Carol Walsh, Peggy Logan, Judy Matthews and Betsy Brewer; brother, Leon Brown; grandchildren, Robert Bradford Bell, Betsy Bell Brown and her husband, Jamey, Ashley Bell Bressler and her husband, Nate and Matt Bell; two great-granddaughters, Bella Kathleen Bressler and Olivia Rae Bressler.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Thursday, February 3, 2022, in Bernstein Funeral Home immediately followed by the funeral service in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Dick Hoard officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
