A native of Athens, GA, Mrs. Bishop was the daughter of the late J. Luther and Lois H. Milligan.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Allen C. Bishop, to whom she was married to for 53 years; sister Billie Lyle; brother Carroll Milligan and 2 grandchildren Jacob Allen and John Asbury Bishop.
Martha was a devoted homemaker, a great cook and a lifelong member of Princeton United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son Jeffrey Allen Bishop of Oconee County, GA and a daughter Tracy Bishop Owens of Macon; one sister Betty Jo Milligan Kitchens of Lexington, GA; one granddaughter Taylor Owens Lambert (Andrew) of Chattanooga, TN and one great grandson Benjamin Samuel Lambert of Chattanooga, TN.
Graveside services will be at 3 pm Friday Sept. 28, 2018 at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until the time of service at Evergreen. Officiated by Gary Lawrence.
