A native of Oconee County, GA, Mrs. Lord was the daughter of the late Verne and Jessie Autry Mathews and was preceded in death by a son, Ben H. “Hamp” Lord III and a grandson, Ben H. Lord IV. She retired from the Clarke County School District and was a member of St. Stephens Anglican Church.
Survivors include husband, Ben H. Lord; son, Mark Lord; daughter, Ann Maxey all of Athens; grandson, Raymond Lord and wife, Monica, and great-grandchildren, Peyton and Wesley Lord.
Graveside services will be held 2PM Friday, November 7th at Evergreen Memorial Park with Rev. Jeff Thomas officiating.
