He is survived by his children, Karen Barnett of Royston, GA, Kimberly Witcher (Walt) of Hull, GA, Michael Byron Barnett Jr. (Ashley) of Maysville, GA and Jason Barnett of Jefferson, GA. Additionally, he leaves his brothers, Kenneth Barnett (Doreen) of Reseca, GA, Stanley Barnett (Sheri) of Athens, GA, Terry Barnett (Kimberly) of Hull, GA, Danny Ray Barnett of Athens, GA and sister, Judy Nixon of Athens, GA. Michael is also survived by five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 12 PM to 2 PM at Bernstein Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at the Grove Chapel Church Cemetery, Winterville, GA.
