

Col. (Retired) Ronald Mac Clements was born on September 11, 1934. He left this world and went home to the lord on Saturday, May 5, 2012. Ron was a graduate of the University of Georgia and proudly served in the United States Air Force until his retirement in 1979. After his retirement, Ron opened and operated Lone Cone Outfitters, a hunting and fishing operation in Colorado. Until his health prevented him from returning to his beloved mountains and hunting grounds, in the fall Ron could be found at the “Eagle’s Nest.”
He is preceded in death by his parents William Edward and Mary Y. Clements. Ron is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ruby Hayes Clements, a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Eddie Norrell of Alamogordo, N. M., a son and daughter-in-law Mike and Sandy Clements of Trophy Club, TX, A daughter, Kathi Dodson, of Watkinsville, GA, and a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Mary Lee Clements of Statham, GA. Ron’s grandchildren are Cambri and her husband Kenneth Johnson, Cory Norrell, Jennifer Clements, Michael and his wife Shelly Clements, Kelly and her husband Chad Moss, Will Clements and Thomas Clements. Ron was also blessed to have five great grandchildren Jeremiah Johnson, Jarod Johnson, Brady Moss, Emma Grace Moss and Coryn Norrell.
Visitation will be at Bernstein Funeral Home, Tuesday, May 8, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Bernstein Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society.
