Sarah F Martin

A native of Clarke Co, Mrs. Martin was the daughter of the late Albertus “Bud” Griffeth and Ruth Center Griffeth and was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle William “Sandy” Martin; daughters, Sarah Lucile “Lucy” Heim and Sandra Tay Charlton, and brothers, Frank Griffeth and A.B. Griffeth, and grandson, Randy Heim. Mrs. Martin was a retired cook at Strickland’s Restaurant and Catering and was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include sons, Doyle Sanford “Pete” Martin of Winterville, GA, William “Mack” Martin of Hartwell, GA, and Douglas Edward Martin of Athens, GA; grandsons, Ty, Chad, and Jared Martin; granddaughters, Beth Wilmitch, Renee Jay, Traci Danielle, and Freda Martin; 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2PM Sunday, January 30th in the chapel at Bernstein Funeral Home with Rev Frank Meadows officiating. Interment will follow at Bethabara Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-9PM Saturday, January 29th at Bernstein.
