Stephen LaSalle was first and foremost a tremendous loyal and respectful husband to his wife of 32 years, Pam. Stephen’s life included a busy collegiate time at the University of Hawaii, spending his academic time in the ROTC program and his athletic time playing Varsity football on the offensive line. Upon college graduation, Major LaSalle’s 20 year distinguished service in the Air Force took him to various stops in the U.S. and Europe before retiring. Major LaSalle’s post military career was spent in the collegiate classroom, teaching students the merits of American Government. Stephen enjoyed a good political debate as well as a good college football game. Stephen maintained his fan loyalty to his alma mater, Hawaii, as well his adopted one, The University of Georgia.
If you ever had a chance to talk to Steve, you would never forget him. He was an honest, straight- forward man whose presence will be missed in the collegiate classrooms he taught in and at family gatherings.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
