

Susan was born in Chicago, Illinois to Charles B. (Chuck) and Lona Lee Cochran Clark on September 6, 1956. At a young age, Susan’s family moved to Athens, Georgia where she was educated in the Clarke County schools graduating from Clarke Central High School in 1974. She went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia. Susan worked as a Sales Executive at U.S. Foods in Columbia, South Carolina for nearly thirty years before retiring in 2016.
Susan is survived by her father Chuck Clark of Athens and her sisters Cindy Clark Lawson of Decatur, Diana Clark Cone (Allen) of Thomasville, Penny Jo Clark of Bainbridge, and Amy Clark (Andrea Campanini) of Atlanta. Susan’s nieces and nephew include Kelli Lawson Radford (Casey), Megan Cone Sears (John), Lindley Cone Kent (Manning) and Charles (Chad) Cone (Megan). Susan also enjoyed watching her many young great-nieces and nephews grow over the recent years. Susan was preceded in death by her Mother.
Susan’s many passions in life included cooking, reading, travel, animals, gardening, music and spending time with her immediate and extended family.
A private service for family and close friends will be held Friday, March 22, at 11:00 a.m., at Bernstein Funeral Home.
