He was born December 17, 1937 in Georgia. He was the son of the late Paul and Cynnie Dillard Collins.
William graduated from the University of Georgia. William loved photography and animals—especially cats. William loved the movies. He was a computer programmer for the University of Georgia before finishing up his career at Emory University in Atlanta.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, George D. Collins and two sisters, Werner Almond and Virginia Chandler.
Survivors include his sister, Harriett Coleman; and his nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held, 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 6, 2022, at the Evergreen Memorial Park with Pastor Dave Smith officiating.
