Amy F. Luettich went to be with the Lord on May 20, 2023. She was 62. She passed away peacefully in her home in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband and family around her. Amy had fought a courageous 5-year battle with cancer and is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for eternity.
Amy was born on June 22, 1960, in Beavercreek, Ohio to Ed and Elaine McCord. She was the 7th of ten McCord children. Amy grew up forming many fond memories of backyard football games, family camping trips, and spending time with her grandparents.
She married Scott Luettich in 1988 in Atlanta, Georgia, and gave birth to their three children: Trent, Spencer, and Lynnae in the 1990s. They raised their kids in Belgrade, Maine before returning to Atlanta in 2019.
Amy was an avid tennis player who gained a well-deserved reputation for being a “net monster” in her doubles matches. She loved beating her kids and her husband at ping pong and was a loyal New England Patriots fan.
Amy’s most noteworthy legacy was her love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She devoted herself to reading the Bible on a regular basis and often journaled her thoughts and reflections. She had a very genuine way of reflecting God’s love for people and was always willing to lend a compassionate ear.
Amy was preceded in death by her older brother Larry, and her mother Elaine. She is survived by her father Ed McCord, and eight siblings (Gary, Jim, Susan, Carrie, Tim, Betsy, Ted, Edie), her husband Scott, her sons Trent and Spencer, and her daughter, Lynnae (Luettich) Stypulkowski.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 on Saturday, May 27th at HM Patterson & Son – Oglethorpe Chapel at 4550 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, Georgia. A graveside service will be held in Belgrade, Maine this summer.
