Anne Anthony Pattillo, 83, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2016. She was born on April 8, 1933 in Royston, GA and has lived in the Atlanta area since 1952. Preceding her in death was her husband of 59 years, Daniel B. Pattillo, and her parents, Woodson E. Anthony and Mary S. Anthony. Anne was an active member of Decatur First Methodist Church, serving as an officer in the United Methodist Women, the Administrative Board, and as a Sunday school teacher. She was instrumental in the formation of the Memory Garden and the Needlepoint Guild. Anne was also a member of the Junior League of DeKalb County. She graduated from Hartwell High School and attended GSCW in Milledgeville, Ga. (now known as Georgia College and State University). Anne was best known as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her two sons: Daniel B. Pattillo, Jr (Joan) and David A. Pattillo (Paige), both of Atlanta. She is also survived by her five grandchildren: Alex (Regina), Caroline, Rick, Laura, and John. There will be a memorial service on Monday, June 20 at 2:00 at Decatur First United Methodist Church. The family will greet friends in the Church after the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Decatur First UMC, 300 E. Ponce de Leon Avenue, Decatur, GA 30030.
