

Barbara Selman Hull, 97, died December 28, 2014. Mrs. Hull was a graduate of North Avenue Presbyterian, and graduated from Randolph College. She was President of the Salvation Army and was author of numerous books, one was “St. Simon’s Enchanted Island” where she spent many summers of her youth. She and her late husband, James Gibson Hull were residents of Sherwood Forrest for over 50 years. She was active in garden clubs, book clubs and various charitable organizations. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. James T. Selman and Marie Wright Selman and also her husband, James Gibson Hull. She is survived by her nephew, Dr. Selman Watson; niece Robey Frache and her two children and many cousins. A memorial service to celebrate Mrs. Hull’s life will be held at 2 o’clock Friday, January 2, 2015 in the chapel of First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, 1328 Peachtree Street, NE, Atlanta, GA 30309.
