Barbara, for 17 years, was the secretary at Campbell High School in Smyrna, a position that allowed her to spend summers with her children. As they left for college, she embarked on a new career in real estate where she quickly rose to be a leader at ReMax Achievers in Buckhead, earning many awards as a Top Achiever in her office, and earning the coveted Phoenix Award for 10 years of sales exceeding a million dollars. When she retired, she and her husband Leon spent their time enjoying life with friends and family in Atlanta and in their mountain home in Blue Ridge.
Barbara’s passion was her family, and she especially loved spending time with her granddaughters. She also enjoyed sewing and made beautiful quilts.
Barbara is survived by her husband Leon, daughter Lynn Fowler (Greg), son Michael Scott, granddaughters Mary Ann Scott and Emma Scott, siblings Guy Ingram (Sandy), Susie Ingram, Charlotte Keller, Debra Yandell (Dale), Wayne Ingram (Brenda), Tim Ingram (Cindy) and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at the home of Mike Scott on Tuesday, March 12 from 6 to 8 p.m.
