Geraldine Gerri Hooks Gibson

Geraldine ("Gerri") Hooks Gibson age 89, was born in Leesburg, GA, Lee County, living in Atlanta, Georgia most of her adult life. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 3, 2016. She worked at Dun & Bradstreet for three years, Hanover Insurance Company for twenty-two years in the Policy Service Department and then worked for her beloved Atlanta Braves in the ticket department for eleven years. Her last employer was Presbyterian Homes of GA at Calvin Courts in Atlanta, GA for ten years, where she resided 1999-2015. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Roy D. Gibson, daughter, Martha Rose Fox, and son, Stephen D. Gibson. Surviving is one son, Daniel J. Gibson, daughter-in-law, Ria Gibson, Chico, CA, grandchildren, Ian and Magnolia Gibson, Grass Valley, CA, Melissa Rose and Wesley Shipes, Savannah, GA, Zachary Ryan Gibson, Snellville, GA, Adrianne Fox, Jesup, GA, and Rachel and Rob Cunningham, four great-grandchildren, Noah and Lucas Shipes, Savannah, GA, Leilani and Jaxon Gibson, Grass Valley, CA. Many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 7, 6:00pm-8:00pm at H. M. Patterson & Son Spring Hill. Please no flowers. Donations may be made to North Avenue Presbyterian Church, 309 Peachtree St., Atlanta, GA 30308 and Presbyterian Homes of GA. Private Interment will be Wednesday, June 8, 10:00AM at Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery in Atlanta, GA. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 8, 12:30pm at H. M. Patterson & Son, Spring Hill with Rev. Frank Eldridge officiating.
