Born in Havana, Cuba, Hector Pujol arrived in Miami, Fla. in 1960 at the age of 16. After high school and Jr. College, he enlisted in the U.S. Army at Ft. Benning, Ga. After 3 years of service, He finished his studies at Ga. State University where he received his degree as an accountant. He retired in 1999 from GoldKist Agri-services after 28 years of dedicated service. Hector Pujol was a pianist in classical music and also an avid gardener. He is preceded in death by his father Charles Pujol, mother, Octelma Velarde Pujol and brothers Charles and Mario. He is survived by one sister Octelma Pujol Ferbeyre and nieces Roxanna Stein and Jessica Ferbeyre and his partner of 40 years Lanny B. Harvey. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 1st from 6-9 pm at H.M. Patterson and Son Oglethorpe Hill in Brookhaven and a Graveside Service will be held at Prospect Cemetery in Chamblee at 11AM on Wednesday, March 2nd.
