Helen W. Owen, 94 of Duluth, formerly of Brookhaven died January 13, 2012. Mrs. Owen was a longtime resident of the Brookhaven community as well as a member of Brookhaven United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her husbands, Thornton W. Fields and Giles C. Owen, survivors include her sons, William, John, Philip and Allen Fields, 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 15th at 2 o’clock at Brookhaven United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Marietta City Cemetery at 4 o’clock. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the cure. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 4 to 7 at Oglethorpe Hill Chapel and one hour prior to the service at the church.
