James W. Means, Jr. age 74 of Atlanta died at Piedmont Hospital on Friday, April 22, 2011. He is preceded in death by his son, Stephen Alexander Means. Graveside services will be held at Arlington Memorial Park on Tuesday, April 26, at 10:00 am. Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances Means, daughters Laura Means Berger and Mary Harmon Salter, grand children, Jacob and Olivia Berger. He is also survived by his favorite dogs, Lady, Dalli and Petie. Jim was a very successful bond underwriter for forty years. He worked for several firms in Atlanta and also in Birmingham, Alabama.
