Kerri Ann Kolwicz

She loved her dogs, diet coke, trips to Paris and her signature red lipstick. Her annual Christmas parties are the stuff of legend.

But if there was one quality that best encapsulated Kerri, it was kindness.

Kerri always prioritized her family and friends. She made it a point to compliment strangers, if for no reason other than to make them feel good. She ended phone calls with, “I love you more.”

Her upbeat attitude and positivity was unmatched.

Kerri died on April 10 at the age of 63. She is survived by her husband, Ted; her children Meghan (Bennett Bozeman), Samantha and Thad; her sisters Geraldine, Barbara and Deborah; her mother, Corrine; her granddaughters Teddi and Blair; and her dog, Hank.

She was born on April 11, 1962, as the youngest of four daughters of Peter and Corrine O’Donnell.

Kerri grew up in North Babylon, N.Y., graduated from Binghamton University, and married Ted Kolwicz in 1986. This September, they would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.

Kerri and Ted started their family in Port Washington, N.Y., and moved in 1993 to Atlanta, which became their decades-long home. Together, they started and ran a successful business, Kopier Net, distributing copiers, printers and scanners throughout Atlanta.

A terrific mother and friend, Kerri enjoyed a robust social life, loved fashion and decorating, and was an outstanding cook, relying on feel and intuition rather than recipes. She walked 10 miles every day.

Kerri was the ultimate fighter of anything the world threw at her. She was generous, bubbly, thoughtful, strong-willed, fun-loving and never met a stranger.

Her home was in Atlanta, but New York, Hilton Head and Paris held equal space in her heart. Kerri’s heart was big enough for all of that and so much more.

She is sorely missed but will never be forgotten.

Kerri will be laid to rest on Friday, May 1st at 10:00am, at Cathedral of Christ the King on 2699 Peachtree Road NE in Atlanta.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude’s, as Kerri wished.
