Kevin John Theroux

Kevin Theroux, 49, born 8/2/70 in Holyoke MA, and a longtime resident of Chicopee MA passed away suddenly on 9/22/19 in Atlanta Georgia. Kevin graduated from Chicopee Comp HS in 1988, received his BS from Northeastern University in 1992 and his Masters in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic University In 1994.

Kevin lived in East Granby CT for many years while he worked at The Hartford for 13 years as a systems analyst before advancing to a Systems Architect position.

Kevin lived in Atlanta GA for the past 8 years. He continued working remotely for The Hartford until he retired in April 2018. Kevin was very compassionate and a great leader. He had a strong character and was very charismatic. People were drawn to his smile, whit and the warmth he exuded towards everyone. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it.

He enjoyed skiing, scuba diving, and most of all – just travelling the world.

He will be missed immensely by so many.

He leaves behind his partner of 7 years Mike Hopkins of Atlanta GA, his mother Lucille Theroux of Westfield MA and Naples FL, his sister Cheryl Wood of Westfield MA and his nephews Jake Wood and Andrew Wood each of Westfield MA.

A memorial service for Kevin is planned for this Saturday 9/28/19 at 12:30 at H.M. Patterson & Son located at 1020 Spring Street NW, Atlanta.

A second memorial service is scheduled for the following week in his hometown of MA. The wake is Friday 10/4 from 5-8 at Barry Farrell Funeral home in Holyoke MA followed by a 10am mass on Sat 10/5 at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Westfield MA.
