Lynn Anne Wyatt (Cordaro), 50, of Sandy Springs beloved wife, mother, daughter and friend passed away on Monday November 19, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Lynn was born in Portsmouth, Ohio to Ralph and Carolyn Cordaro on August 6, 1968. She attended Lassiter High School and was a proud graduate of the Henry W. Grady College of Journalism at the University of Georgia. She worked for several years in the Public Relations, IT Consulting and Software Marketing fields before taking time off to devote to her family and then to her fight against breast cancer. Lynn was an avid volunteer and served on many committees and boards at her children's schools, in her neighborhood and with the organizations such as the Susan G. Komen foundation.
Lynn was truly a unique individual. She lived life on her own terms with a profound spirit and passion. She was a joyous force and friend to anyone she met. She cared deeply, spoke her mind and was always willing to devote her time and considerable energy to make a difference. She loved to travel (especially to the beach and on safari in South Africa), drink wine, read, socialize and above all laugh. She had a passion for friends, animals, the Georgia Bulldogs and the search for a cure for cancer. The remarkable positivity, courage and determination she showed in her own decade long fight serves as an inspiration to many.
Lynn loved her family and friends fiercely and is survived by her loving husband Ian, children Andrew and Alexandra, father Ralph, mother Carolyn, brother Jay, sister-in-law Jeannie, uncle Jim, aunt Phyllis, nephews Brady and Christopher, nieces Sophie and Emma and friends too numerous to mention.
A celebration of life ceremony is scheduled for Friday, November 30 from 3:00pm - 4:00pm to be followed by a reception from 4:00pm - 6:00pm at H.M. Paterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, 4550 Peachtree Road, NE, Brookhaven, GA 30319. Lynn requested that everyone wear something red and black to honor her beloved Bulldogs and that her Sigma Kappa sorority sisters wear their pins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Emory Winship Cancer Institute or the World Wildlife Fund.
