Marie Blasingame Patton

Marie was born and grew up in Monroe, GA, the daughter of J.B. and Odelle Blasingame. She attended the University of Georgia where she proudly cheered and escorted their mascot Uga onto the field before every football game.

Marie was a successful sales associate for Mary Kay Cosmetics for many years. She regarded Mary Kay Ash as a mentor and good friend. Marie worked side by side with her beloved husband, Thomas Venable Patton for over 20 years at Triton, Inc. Together, they enjoyed traveling, entertaining friends and spending time with family.

Marie was a big animal lover and supported Zoo Atlanta as well as the Atlanta Humane Society. She and her husband, Tom, were involved in many charities in Atlanta.

Marie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Honor and Tracy Hannon, of Denver, CO and their two children, Paris and Patton. She is also survived by her brother, Gary B. Blasingame, of Athens, GA, his wife Dwayne and their children and grandchildren. She is survived by her two stepchildren, James Patton, of St. Simons Island, GA and Garges Purtee, of Treasure Island, FL; four step grandchildren and one step great-grandchild, Lambdin Freeman, Stehly Patton, Kelly Patton, Thomas Patton and Addison Freeman.

A private family funeral was held at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs, GA. on February 14, 2018. A memorial service and celebration of Marie’s life will be held in the spring.
