
Martha Virginia "Ginny" Ross, daughter of the late William Tyler Ross and Gay Caskie Ross, was born in Roanoke, Virginia on July 30, 1943. She received her undergraduate degree from Agnes Scott College, a Master of Christian Education from Columbia Theological Seminary, and a Master of Education and Specialist in Education from Georgia State University. Virginia spent her entire working career in elementary education which included many years at Vanderlyn Elementary School in Dunwoody. She loved children and they loved her in return. Virginia had an extensive network of friends. She enjoyed travel, bridge, and the game of golf. She even scored a hole-in-one! Virginia was an active member of and truly loved St. Patrick's Episcopal Church where she served on the Vestry, Altar Guild and many other committees. She was a supporter of the Malachi Storehouse and Reads programs. She is survived by a sister Nancy Atkinson (Gus Neville) of Chapel Hill, NC., brothers Bill Ross (Phyllis) of Charlottesville, Va., Evans Ross (Lucy) of Lynchburg, Va., Jack Ross (Sara) of Clemmons, NC., housemate Lynne Millett and Lynne's daughter, Crissy, beloved nieces and nephews Susan Tuck, Lee Ross, Megan Hall, Ryan Looney, Katharine Agostino, Michael Ross, Lisa Fultz, Tyler Ross, Charlie Ross, Meg Hopper, James Atkinson , Kimberly Kelly , Michael Neville, and Jennifer Neville. The memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2016, at St. Patrick's Episcopal Church, 4755 N. Peachtree Rd., Dunwoody, Ga. 30338. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Patrick's Episcopal Church or the charity of your choice.
