Minerva Montalvo passed away on April 8, 2018. She was born in Puerto Rico in 1940 and was a devoted daughter, wife and mother. She and her husband Jose were parents to a daughter Nilda and sons Alvin, Jose and Juan. She was also a sister to Gloria, Margarita and Alice Montalvo. Minerva was a proud grandmother to 8 grandchildren. She lived her life in accordance to Catholic beliefs, and was always there to serve and help everyone. Her smile could light up a room and she enjoyed life and those around her. One of her favorite things to do was listen to music and go to concerts. She also loved to travel, and enjoyed doing that with her husband. She loved her mother, husband, sisters, nieces and nephews, sons and grandchildren, and pretty much everyone she met. Wherever she was, you could feel the love. Throughout her life she learned many things that had to do with arts and crafts. From doing her hair in her beauty salon, to ceramic figurines, lace creations, decoupage and painting. Some of her decoupage work is worthy of a museum.
Minerva left a legacy of love and care. We all can use some of her compassion, understanding, patience and unconditional love for everyone. This world is a better place because she was in it, and she taught us how to love, laugh and enjoy life.
