

Pamola was born in Memphis, to Rachel and Dan Powell on April 29, 1948. A graduate of White Station High School, she attained her undergraduate degree in Design from University of Memphis. Upon graduation she relocated to Atlanta and pursued a master’s degree from Georgia State University.
In a career that spanned over 55 years, she led many commercial design projects that won national recognition. A described powerhouse leader in the industry, she served as a principal and partner at many architectural and commercial design firms in the city. She served as a role model and inspiration for all who knew her. In 2001, she elected to focus on residential design and was widely recognized for her individual style. Pamola was serving as President -elect of the Georgia American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) at the time of her passing.
In addition to design, Pamola had a passion for art and served on the boards of MOCA GA, MODA, and Hammonds House. Widely recognized for her commitment to design and art, she was appointed to serve on the Atlanta Urban Design Commission.
Pamola is survived by her spouse of 39 years, Guy Lescault and her brother Dan Powell. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
