Peggy Watson Elsasser

A viewing will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 21, 2023 at H.M. Patterson & Son - Oglethorpe Hill, 4550 Peachtree Rd NE Atlanta, GA 30319. The funeral will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 10:00 am at First Alliance Church, 2512 N Druid Hills Rd, Atlanta, GA 30329. Procession to North Atlanta Memorial for burial service at 5188 Winters Chapel Rd Atlanta, GA 30360. Reception at First Alliance Church following burial.

Mrs. Peggy Watson Elsasser was the loving wife of 71 years to James Thomas Elsasser, mother of four sons, Thomas and wife Patti Elsasser, David Elsasser, Phillip Elsasser, and Eric and wife, Stephanie Elsasser; grandmother of fifteen: Vicki, Nathan, Rebecca, Jessica, Michelle, Justin, Aaron, Jeremy, Jennifer, Daniel, Brian, Heather, Melissa, Austin, Jada and great-grandmother of twenty-two: Evan, Nathan,Gianna, Dominic, Amelia, Shawn, Issac, Alexander, Lenneth, Lucian, Sarah, James, Emily, Willow, William, Ivey, Justin, Brayden, Evelyn, Autumn, Aurelia, Damian.

Peggy enjoyed sewing and crafting, as well as gardening. She was an asset to the community, always volunteering at the elementary school, reading books and working the book fairs. She enjoyed trips to Florida and Macon to visit her family, no matter how long the ride was, she still wanted to go to visit all her family.

Peggy was a member of First Alliance Church for twenty-two years where she loved teaching the children's Sunday school and vacation bible school.

She was passionate about detailing family History and keeping up with everyone's birth dates, where all family would like clockwork, receive their birthday card in the mail.

At Christmas time she loved decorating the house for the holidays, joyriding to see the Christmas lights, and you could always count on receiving her famous fruitcake, and a meal!

She was a strong, kind woman who not only raised four children of her own, but also raised three of her grandchildren as her own.

She was a woman who loved her entire family, blood, married, or otherwise, she loved everyone.
