Peggy Walden

Peggy Ann Hackett Walden, born May 26 1940 in Carthage, TN, passed away in the early morning September 11, 2012 at the age of 72. She was married to Phil Walden, the co-founder of Capricorn Records, for 37 years until the time of his death in 2006. She lived in Macon, GA and Nashville, TN before finally settling in Atlanta, GA. She is survived by her brother Jimmy Joe Hackett, daughter Amantha Starr Walden, and grandson Maxwell Barto Weidenfeld. Funeral Services for Ms. Walden will be Friday, September 14, 2012 at 10 O’clock in the morning at The Cathedral of St. Philip, 2744 Peachtree Road, NW, Atlanta, GA 30305 with private interment. There will be a Reception following the Service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Georgia, 41 Perimeter Center East, Suite 550, Atlanta, GA 30346.
