I knew Mr. Brand from his hard work, honesty and integrity during the short time I worked with him and shared his stories about his community and his church. He was a man of his word.  He once sent me a letter of agreement, outlining his intentions to comply with the verbal agreement we negotiated. He made every effort to comply with that agreement before his passing.  I am framing this letter in his memory and hope that one day we can find a way to commemorate his 45 plus years of dedicated service to his beloved Cascade Heights Community.

Everyone at Woodward Academy will miss Mr. Brand.  He was a true friend and southern gentleman in every sense of the word.  In all the years he served on the Governing Board (since 1960) he was a faithful member with many contributions.  He holds a special place in the Atlanta Community as well.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time of loss.
