
Robert “Bob” E. Rosterman, 80, of Chicago, IL passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011, in Atlanta, GA, after suffering a massive heart attack on June 14. Bob was born in Blair, NE on March 30, 1931, to immigrant parents Henry & Christina (Hansen) Rosterman. He graduated from Blair High School and moved to Chicago in the early 1950s where he was employed by Paramount and later MGM/UA Studios. Bob was a classic movie historian and writer, and had many wonderful friends in the movie industry and theatre. His favorite film was his beloved “Gone With the Wind.” He had just attended the weekend festivities in Atlanta for the 75th Anniversary of the publication of “GWTW” and became ill before he could return to Chicago.
He is survived by sisters, Goldie Fleury of Lake Charles, LA and Ruth Schoeman of Atlanta, GA, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters and brothers, Norma Jean, Harry, Donald, Carrie, Rose, Arnold and Helen.
Graveside services are at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 9, at Blair Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Aman Funeral Home.
